WhatsApp is testing a new feature that introduces a dedicated tab for AI-powered chat rooms or AI bots in the Android 2.25.1.24 beta. This tab will replace the Community tab in the app's bottom navigation bar, reflecting WhatsApp's focus on expanding AI functionality within their platform. So, what should you know about it?

Through this tab, users will be able to explore a variety of AI tools provided by Meta and third-party developers. Each AI offers unique features, such as productivity suggestions, personal assistance, entertainment, or themed interactions like games and anime. The most popular AI tools will be recommended to users, making it easy for them to choose and try out the features that are trending or getting the most attention.

Additionally, AI will be organised into specific categories such as general advice, creative tasks, gaming experiences, or pop culture interests. This is intended to make AI features more organised and accessible. The feature also continues WhatsApp's efforts to reorganise the app's interface. Previously, the community creation tool was moved to the chat tab, making this new feature a step towards strengthening AI integration within the app. WhatsApp is still in the process of developing this feature and is expected to be released in a future update.
