Based on a statement by AndroidAuthority, WhatsApp could be getting the disappearing messages feature in the future. To go into more detail, this feature lets the user determine how long the messages will stay visible before it deletes itself from both the sender and the recipient's device.
Based on the screenshot provided, the user can have the messages be visible anywhere from 5 seconds up to 1 hour. However, there is a big possibility that the user will have more options in terms of the duration in the future. As of now, there is no official information on the Malaysia release date of the feature and on which device it will be available to first.
With all that said, do take every bit of information with a grain of salt as there was no official statement made by the developers of WhatsApp for now.
