Did you know you can change your WhatsApp wallpaper? Having said that, you either pick from the Bright, Dark and Solid Colours categories or use your own photos/screenshots. There's no real theme system that changes things like the chat message box, font, etc. But that could change soon.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has released a beta version for its WhatsApp on Android (version 2.24.17.19) to test new default chat themes. It's estimated that there are at least 10 chat themes available. The new feature will allow users to choose the colour for their chat bubbles and wallpaper. Once selected, the default chat window will apply to all chat groups.

While not specific, we're hoping that WhatsApp will make it possible to assign different chat themes to different chat groups. It could help users quickly identify which chat group they've opened with a glance, assuming they remember their chosen theme. Also, this change will be entirely client-side, so other people in the group chat should still see the theme in their default state.
Is this an update you'd look forward to? What other features would you want from WhatsApp? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
