After 9 months since WhatsApp has updated the Touch ID and Face ID feature on iPhone, the fingerprint ID feature is now available on all Android users to unlock the APP! With this extra authentication, you will no longer need to install a third-party privacy APP to lock it up and keep your secrets safe!So here’s how to set up the fingerprint authentication:

First, click into your WhatsApp Settings which is located on the top right corner. Next, inside the Settings Menu choose privacy. Then, you will notice a “fingerprint lock” option. Click into it and turn on “Unlock with Fingerprint”. After that, you will be prompted to register your fingerprint with the fingerprint sensor on your device. Also, inside the Fingerprint Lock Menu, you will be able to choose the duration for screen lock and the option to show content in notification.
