Today, WhatsApp has announced a suite of new features aimed at enhancing user expression through its Status updates. On its blog, the team said these additions are designed to offer more personalised and interactive ways for users to share moments with their contacts.
One of the key features that WhatsApp users can do now is combine up to six photos into a single collage within a Status update, allowing them to add some storytelling. Additionally, they can also add a new music sticker to add specific songs to their Status, setting the tone or mood for their updates.
Not only that, the photos can be transformed into stickers, which can be resized and shaped to fit the user's preference. Lastly, users can use the "Add Yours" sticker, which is an interactive feature to invite friends to respond to a prompt. This will foster community engagement as responses can be shared in their own Status updates.
