If you're a WhatsApp user, you'll know how the app comes up with new features all the time. Last week, we got news of AI stickers coming to the platform. And the week before, it was an in-app shopping feature called Flows. Now, the next one should be a new quick reply feature.
According to WABetaInfo, the next WhatsApp update will include a new Reply Bar feature, which allows users to quickly reply to images, GIFs, and videos. So how does it work? Currently, tapping on an image or video in WhatsApp lets you view it. But you'll have to exit the content preview to reply to the chat group. With the Reply Bar, you can send replies within the image/video preview screen.

Literally a reply bar in an image preview
This is useful in chat groups where the primary purpose is to share media, as it allows you to quickly reply to shared content. You also won't have to break your immersion to make a reply, especially for content like long videos. Mind you, it doesn't seem like the chat log is included, so you won't know what else other people have commented on while viewing the content. The feature is only available in Google Play beta for now but should be available soon to all WhatsApp users.
Overall, this sounds like it'll be one of the more useful quality-of-life features to be added. Do you see yourself taking advantage of this feature? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
