WhatsApp is finally rolling out a feature that it announced last month. Call Links, which allows users to join calls through links, will make joining or starting group calls on the messaging platform easy. It's basically similar to the feature we have on popular video-conferencing tools like Google Meet and Zoom.

To create a link for a call, you'll find a new "Create call link" option on top of the call log from the Calls tab. Tapping the button will instantly create a new link that can get shared with others. Users can also select the call types between voice and video before sharing. WhatsApp offers options to share the link within the app or some other medium. Of course, users can also copy and paste the link wherever they want.

All users need to access the link is a WhatsApp account, regardless of whether they have the link creator's phone number saved as a contact. However, take note that everyone who has the link can join the call. Therefore, you might not want to share it with someone else. After receiving a link, users will see two buttons to leave or join the call. Once inside, they'll see the same interface as the regular call.
