WhatsApp is testing a new in-app call dialer feature for iOS users

It is kind of weird to know that WhatsApp doesn't have a dialer calling page for so many years. Well, it looks like this feature will be coming soon as some beta testers were able to test it. Android users can tap into the "call a number" option, while the feature will be coming soon to iOS users.

Compared to Android, iOS users on WhatsApp won't have the floating action button to access the call dialer page. As you can see in the screenshot below, this feature was previously on the iPad so it should work the same way on iOS. The entry point will be on the menu and users can just simply enter the phone number to call directly.

WABetaInfo also said this feature will determine if the dialled phone number is registered on WhatsApp or not. So if the number is a verified business account, the blue tick verification checkmark will appear below the number. This can also show the authenticity that the number is legitimate. Furthermore, this move will save the number without having to input the number in the contact list.

According to WABetaInfo, the new in-app call dialer page will be rolling out as a new update to iOS WhatsApp users in the next few days. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
