Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is currently working on a new quality-of-life feature that would make adding and calling a new contact all the more convenient. Spotted on the latest WhatsApp bet for Android version, the feature is an in-app dialler.

According to the good folks at WABetaInfo, the in-app dialler was part of the 2.24.9.28 update, meaning that it may end up on the full version of the app soon. However, it is unclear how WhatsApp is implementing the feature in the app.

Based on the screenshot, it’s exactly how it sounds like, a dialler within the WhatsApp app. It does give a lot of benefits though, which is making adding contacts that much easier and more importantly, allowing you to dial a number that you would use rarely such as calling a restaurant for a reservation, without having to save the contact on your device.

It’s unknown whether this feature would end up in the full version though as WhatsApp is still testing it out. Until further info is available, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
