In another episode, WhatsApp is looking to bring in another feature for everyone. Although it's not new, the next update is bringing the 'filter chats' function officially from WhatsApp Business.
In case you didn't know, the filter chats function was first introduced in WhatsApp Business for sellers to find all the unread chats easily. It's available on iOS, Android and Desktop so we are expecting the same update for the standard WhatsApp.
As you can see in the screenshot (on Desktop mode), the function will appear beside the search engine in WhatsApp. Besides finding unread chats, the function will also let you quickly search for Contacts, Non-contacts and Groups. At the moment, there isn't a release date yet but WABetaInfo.com said that some users are already experiencing it.
This function will definitely be most useful for standard WhatsApp users, but we think we can expect a new update sooner or later so let's just wait for it. So far, we have received a few new updates that include Reactions, bigger file sharing (up to 2GB), and upgraded group voice calls (up to 32 participants). WhatsApp Companion will be the next one.
