Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is spotted testing a new feature that may end up on the full version of the app soon. The feature allows you to put an alternative profile photo, which is meant as a privacy tool, so read on to find out more.
Spotted by WABetaInfo, the feature was part of WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.24.4. It is meant for you to mask your information by setting an alternate profile photo.
Users can turn on the feature by going to the Privacy option in the settings and selecting Profile Photo. The option to add an alternate profile will be available at the very bottom.
