Sending images on WhatsApp can be a hassle for some of us as the messaging app compresses almost everything you want to share. However, things might change soon as it's spotted that the platform is currently developing features that let users choose the quality of images and videos sending out in chats.

WABetaInfo found out that the features are currently in the works for the Android app by allowing users to choose among three quality options "Auto," "Best quality," or "Data saver" when sending out images and videos. If it gets to the public, it's believed that users can go with the lowest setting to save some data or with the highest one for the best possible quality.

However, it's unsure how the "Best Quality" images look like as there are no screenshots of the feature in real-life action. At the moment, if users wanted to send high-quality images rather than compressed ones, they would have to convert the images files to documents. Let's hope that WhatsApp will officially release the new feature soon to save us some trouble.
