WhatsApp was updated again this morning with some features that we find interesting. The first is that video calls in WhatsApp can now support up to 32 participants simultaneously on all platforms. Previously it was only supported on Android and iOS applications with desktop users limited to 8 people for each video call session.

Screen sharing during video calls is now also more comprehensive on desktop with users being able to share the video they are watching. Movie-watching sessions with friends can now be done more easily. This is a great addition to WhatsApp.

Finally, the Speaker's Spotlight feature is introduced, with video call participants who are speaking will be seen more clearly by other participants. With this new update, the use of WhatsApp on all platforms is now more consistent and equal.
