In this short announcement, we reported that WhatsApp will have new updated group video and voice call feature. This new update will now allow 8 people in total to join now you may see the new update now in the Apple App Store. At the moment, Android doesn't have the new update yet.

In case you can't see the new update yet, don't fret. The global rollout will take some time to reach to all iOS users, or you can just refresh the apps update page to see if it's there. Initially, we could only add 4 participants in there which was weird, but I guess they finally realized that it was needed due to the outbreak and more people are using video calling technology to keep in touch now.
