As some of you already know, some of your friends and family have a new WhatsApp update that allows you to delete a message. But this is not just any simple delete-a-message feature, this new update lets you delete a message for everyone in a group chat. It's about time!

While the new delete message feature is not available for everyone yet, you can check by doing a long press on the message and see if there's an option for "delete for everyone". However, in doing so everyone in the chat group will notice the small announcement on top.

To quote about the new delete messages on the company’s FAQ page, it says:

"Deleting messages for everyone allows you to delete specific messages you have sent to either a group or an individual chat. This is particularly useful if you sent a message to the wrong chat or if the message you sent contains a mistake.

Messages you successfully delete for everyone will be replaced with “This message was deleted” in your recipients’ chats (*). Similarly, if you see “This message was deleted” in a chat, it means that the sender deleted their message for everyone.

You can only delete messages for everyone for up to seven minutes after sending. Once seven minutes have passed, there is no way to delete messages for everyone."

Aside from that, it was only recently that WhatsApp updated its Live Location feature that allows you to share your location in real0time with friends and family. To do that, just open any chat, tap the " + " icon, tap location and then "Share Live Location".
