If you're still using your iPhone 5 series, perhaps it's time to upgrade your phone to a new one, especially if you rely on WhatsApp. According to WABetaInfo.com, the WhatsApp team will be dropping support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 in the next few months.

Initially, there was news about iOS 10's support ending in 2021 but that didn't come to pass until now. As you can see in the screenshot below, it seems that the date to end the support will be from 24 October 2022 onwards. It's also usually the time when the new iPhone generation is on sale, so just in time, I guess.

Furthermore, the WhatsApp Help Center has also confirmed this in the FAQs. Alongside Android OS 4.1, the WhatsApp team will only support iOS 12 and above only. That being said, you may also choose to upgrade your iOS to the latest iOS 15 but only the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s may do so.

We are sure many of the iPhone users have already upgraded to iOS 15. Until then, do stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
