Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is currently testing out a new feature, which is the ability to pin messages to the top of chats. Spotted in the latest Android beta version of the app, read on to find out more about the feature.
As shared by WABetaInfo, the feature is available to a select few beta testers via the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.21.4 update. Essentially, there’s a new pin action visible within the message options that allows users to pin a message to the top of the conversation.
Users can then choose whether to pin the message for either 1 day, 7 days or 30 days. Moreover, you can also dismiss the pin message at any time, making it useful to highlight any important information in say a WhatsApp work chat group or even individual chats.
