Based on a statement by WABetaInfo.com, it seems that the developers of WhatsApp might be keen on implementing WhatsApp voice and video call to WhatsApp web. Currently, if you are interested in engaging in either a voice or video call on WhatsApp, you can only do it on either a smartphone or a tablet.
However, with the new feature which will be implemented sometime in the near future, we could join any voice or video call without the need to use our smartphones. However, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that the WhatsApp developers have yet to provide an official statement on the leak.
