WhatsApp will allow you to keep messages from disappearing messages soon

There is a couple of times when we accidentally sent a message to the wrong person. While you can "unsend" a message, it's pretty awkward to see the message "This messaged has been deleted". But what if you want to save back your deleted message? The WhatsApp team is working on that far better than that.

According to WABetaInfo.com, the WhatsApp team is working on a new feature called "Kept Messages" that will complement Disappearing Messages. For the latter, Disappearing Messages is exactly what you think - sending a message that would disappear within a period. This feature is currently in beta testing on both iOS and Android.

As for Kept Messages, the WhatsApp team is working to bring this feature to iOS, Android and WhatsApp desktop versions. Kept Messages can be found within a group or contact info, in between Starred messages and Mute notifications. We assume that you can press hold on a certain message, including the Disappearing Message and save it into Kept Messages.

There is no timeline of when Kept Messages will arrive but given WhatsApp's reputation, we don't really need to wait that long. The WhatsApp team has been on a roll lately, with plans to release leaving a group silently, importing filter chat from WhatsApp Business, WhatsApp Companion mode that links two phones at the same time and many more. The most recent update was WhatsApp Reaction.
