A message reaction in WhatsApp? Yup, you read that right. The WhatsApp team is finally working on this feature and it's currently out in beta testing for some beta users. The last we heard about this was roughly seven months ago, so let's check out if there's any new progress.

According to the reliable WhatsApp beta news source, WABetaInfo.com, there would be six types of reactions for each WhatsApp message. The six reactions are the typical Like, Love, Laugh, Surprised, Sad and Thanks. For now, it seems to work for mobile-only as the GIF image below shows you can press hold a message and the reactions will appear.

WABetaInfo.com also mentioned that a few weeks ago, there was a WhatsApp beta for iOS on managing reaction notifications. WhatsApp Desktop beta also got the same but we aren't sure how it will be implemented since there's no touch screen support. Well, they will have to figure it out eventually.

It should take a few weeks for the WhatsApp team to roll out this new feature. So until then, we just have to sit tight and wait until it's ready. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
