WhatsApp will let users pause audio recordings in the future

Have you ever tried sending voice messages in WhatsApp, but got cut off because you let go of the button? The chances of that happening isn't zero, and sometimes you might get distracted and want to get back to recording your message. In that case, wouldn't a pause button be amazing?

Not all of us use the voice recording feature. But if you do, you would know that you normally have to click and hold on the record button in WhatsApp to record an audio message. You don't have to do that with the Web or Desktop version, but you can't pause the recording in those either. If someone or something interrupts you, then you have to record your message again.

That won't be a problem anymore with the new feature. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing the pause feature for audio recording internally. It's not even available on beta yet, but a preview for the feature was leaked online. As you can see, you can now pause while recording and resume the recording as you like. There will even be a waveform for the message, though that's more decorative than useful for most people.

It's nice to see WhatsApp continue to develop new features to improve the app's user experience. For us, the Multi-device feature is the best feature to release in 2021. How about you? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
