WhatsApp will let you record video notes soon

Are you the type to hate writing notes? Maybe taking a video will be better for you, as you could have your classes 'rebroadcasted'. That's probably one of many ways you can use WhatsApp's upcoming feature - the Video Note.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will roll out the Camera video note feature with the Android 2.24.14.14 version update. This feature is now being tested by WhatsApp Beta users. But it should soon be available to all WhatsApp users on Android. We can also assume that iOS and WhatsApp Desktop users will get the update eventually.

So, how does a video note work and how can you record one? Well, the original intention is for video messages to function like audio messages. You hit the record button, record a short video, and send it as a reply in a chat. However, WhatsApp is also adding the feature as a camera mode. The main difference is that a video note doesn't use the entire camera frame. Also, we're expecting it to be with the front camera only. We don't know the exact implementation because we're not beta testers. But we'll find out once the feature officially rolls out.
