Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is currently beta testing a new feature on the app which allows users to share status updates to Instagram and Facebook. Spotted on the latest beta version of the app, read on to find out more about the feature.

According to WABetaInfo, this new feature was part of the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.25.20. With the update, users will see an optional shortcut to cross-post their status updates on Instagram and Facebook, both of which are also owned by Meta.

The shortcut is found on the updates tab on the WhatsApp Android app, whereby there’s a ‘Share status’ menu bar with the Facebook, Instagram and the ‘share’ logo on it. This is particularly convenient for those who use all 3 platforms and want to post the same status on all of them.

Given that it’s now in beta, there’s a very high chance that it’ll make it to the full version of the app in the near future. Well, until then, stay tuned to TechNave for the latest developments on this and more trending tech news.
