The global launch of the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus just ended early this morning, and we have seen that the global prices of the new phone from Cupertino will be the same to the outgoing smartphone when it was first launched about 11 months ago. The speculation now is – when will Malaysia get the phone?
The Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus was launched globally on 9th September 2015, and subsequently was launched locally in Malaysia by telco partners about one month later. Like the Apple iPhone 7, Malaysia was not in the first or second round of international release. Price wise, we saw the price for the Apple iPhone 6S starting from RM 3199 for the 16GB version, and all the way to RM 4699 for the Apple iPhone 6S Plus.
As the price for the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus are the same as the launch price of its predecessor, we can assume that the price will be the same when launched locally. We have seen Apple slashing the price of the current range of Apple iPhone that is available on the Apple website, as well as the increase in storage for the associated models.
