Wi-Fi 6 lets you achieve download speeds of up to 1.5Gbps

The new Wi-Fi 6 standard has recently been unveiled which is not only backwards compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards, but it is also able to achieve up to 1.5Gbps based on a test conducted by CNET. To put it into perspective, CNET managed to download all 22 Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in 4k resolution in less than 2 hours and 20 minutes.

With all that said, do note that just because your router is Wi-Fi 6 certified doesn’t mean you will be able to achieve download speeds of 1.5Gbps. This is due to the fact that your download speed depends on your internet service provider, and whether your hardware is able to support that kind of speeds.

With all that said, how would you feel if all your device supports Wi-Fi 6? Let us know on our Facebook page and for more updates like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
