Wikipedia has banned AI-written articles

Recently, Wikipedia updated its content guidelines to prohibit the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to generate or rewrite articles. So, what should you know about it?

This decision is supported in the Wikipedia community

For your information, this is a change from the original guidelines, which only prohibited the use of AI to create new articles. This decision was made after a vote was held within the Wikipedia editor community, with a result of 40 in favour and 2 against.

Moreover, editors can still use AI as long as it does not add new content or change the original meaning, suggests basic edits to their own writing, and edited articles can only be published after being reviewed by a human. Wikipedia still gives importance to human authors. This is different from Grokipedia, which is written entirely by AI Grok.
