Will Xiaomi develop a "smart face mask" with sensors in the future?

Based on a statement by gizmochina, it seems that Xiaomi has acquired the patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office to manufacture “smart masks” in the future. The patent hints that the smart mask could come equipped with various sensors, storage and processing unit to collect and send data to other devices.

Not only that but it also comes with a built-in battery which powers not only all the components inside the mask, but also the air filter as well. With that said, there is no official information from Xiaomi in regards to whether they will actually manufacture such as product and when it will be available in Malaysia.
