XDA-Developers.com spotted a few lines of code found in the upcoming MIUI 10, which hints at the possibility of a future Xiaomi smartphone coming equipped with a 64MP camera sensor. In addition to that, the codes also revealed a functionality which applies a watermark onto the picture that was taken by the smartphone as well.
We could expect Xiaomi to be one of the first smartphone manufacturersto have their upcoming device come equipped with the 64MP image sensor. That being said, there are many advantages to having a higher megapixel image sensor. These advantages include being able to print a larger image, or crop into an image without losing picture clarity. Not only that, but the 64MP image sensor will also produce better-looking images under low-light conditions as well.

As of now, there is no news on when this technology will arrive in Malaysia. Do take every bit of information with a grain of salt, as Xiaomi has yet to give out any official information regarding the subject.
