Based on a statement by asia.nikkei.com, it seems that Apple has started shifting their manufacturing operations to countries such as Vietnam, India, and Malaysia in order to reduce their dependency on China. The report also mentioned that Vietnam will focus on iPad production starting from the middle this year while Malaysia will manufacture the Mac Mini.
Depending on how it goes, there could be a possibility that Malaysia might produce future Apple products which could mean slightly cheaper Apple products in Malaysia. However, do take the prediction with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Apple has yet to comment on the matter.
