Apart from having touch screen functionalities or Bluetooth mice connected our smartphones, tablets and some laptops, the majority of the world is still using a wired mouse for our daily work and gaming. Well, one of the co-inventors for the computer mouse, William "Bill" English has just recently passed away at the age of 91 on 26 July 2020 due to respiratory failure.
Some history lessons for you, English worked alongside Douglas Englebart back in 1968 and both of them developed the first computer mouse at Stanford Research Institute. Besides the computer mouse, both also worked on a 1968 "Mother of All Demos" which includes online text editing, video calls, graphical user interfaces and hypertext links. Anyway, Englebart was the one who came up with the concept first, then English took the concept and built the mouse with him.
We are truly grateful for both English and Englebart for inventing the computer mouse and other related things that foretold our technologies. With that, press F in the comments below to pay your respects. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
