Today, Sony has just announced a brand new innovation and get this - they came up with the world's toughest SD card that is resistant to bending, dropping and even has an IP68 water and dust resistant grade! Simply called as the “SF-G series TOUGH specification” UHS-II SD card, it will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities but at this moment, no price is revealed yet and will launch in Asia from October onwards.

So how tough is this SD card? According to Sony, this bad boy is 18 times stronger than a standard SD card which can withstand 180N force thanks to the world's first monolithic structure and materials of high-grade hardness. This means that the new SD card is completely sealed with one-piece molding structure, no waterdrop, dust or dirt can even get into the card. On top of that, it doesn't compromise the build over speed, as it can go up to 300MB/s with buffer clearing time minimized, being able to support V90, the highest standard of video speed class.

Moreover, there's also an 'SD Scan Utility' which allows the user to check its condition, as well as File Rescue Software (downloadable from the Sony Support site) that can recover data that might have been accidentally deleted. It's also nice to that know that the SD card has X-ray proof, magnet proof, anti-static, temperature proof and feature UV Guard.
