Looks like this drama has taken a new turn. Previously, we mentioned that Google is not obligated to provide accurate data for the currency exchange. Today, looks like Google has made a U-turn about it.
According to a recent post on X by Google Malaysia, they have contacted the third party that is responsible for the data behind the currency exchange. Google Malaysia also apologised and said the issue has been resolved.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We immediately contacted the third party that provides USD-MYR exchange rate information to correct the error. The issue has now been resolved and we apologize for any confusion caused.

In addition, the giant tech company mentions that it only provides the currency exchange rate for international purposes. If you have further concerns about finance, you should refer to the BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia) website. Hopefully, this issue is finally resolved and investors will be more confident in our nation’s growth.
