X (formerly Twitter) has been working hard on monetising its platform since Elon Musk took over. Earlier this week, Musk announced that a cheaper subscription tier would be available soon. That happened earlier today, as the company announced two new subscription plans.
As announced, X now has new Premium+ and Basic subscription tiers. The former promises absolutely zero ads, more boost to replies, and full access to the platform's creative suite. On the other hand, the Basic tier only gives you access to essential premium features. But of course, it will still be ad-supported.
we’re also launching a new Basic tier for $3/month (when signing up via Web) that gives you access to the most essential Premium features

You can't see the required fees for the new plans on the mobile app yet. But it's confirmed that the Premium+ will cost RM70/month, while Basic will be priced at RM13.13/month (weird number, we know). For reference, the mid-tier Premium subscription is RM35/month. As you can see, the Premium+ plan is twice as expensive as the Premium plan but is free from ads.
There's no news on when these subscription plans will be available in Malaysia, but would you sign up when it comes here? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
