Xbox Series X's shortage might have come to an end, so when is PS5's turn?

The stock of Xbox Series X is finally returning to normal after the semiconductor shortage during the pandemic. Many have noticed that more Xbox Series X stock has been available at online retailers in recent weeks, pointing towards that Microsoft might not be troubled by the shortage anymore.

However, it's not something that happens overnight that the company could get the console back on track for the demand. Nick "Shpeshal" Baker from XboxEra claims that Microsoft had paid a significant amount back in April of last year to prioritize chip production, so people could only see more stock now.

Furthermore, the increase of the Xbox Series X stock had also helped the company surpass the PS5 sales in Europe this February, which might not be possible if there were more PS5 on the shelves. On the other hand, the PS5 encountered a drop in recent months as people still not be able to get the console easily. Why not Sony pay as well?! (haha)
