If you are a fan of Microsoft and Xbox, you might want to pay attention to this rumour. Recently, the Xbox Series X was spotted on the SIRIM database last month. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, the console is listed under Microsoft’s long-time distributor in Malaysia, Ingram Micro. Interestingly, the Xbox Series S cleared SIRIM’s certification in 2020. Usually, devices that pass SIRIM’s tests would be approved for sale on the market. That’s not the case with the Xbox consoles.
In case you didn’t know, Microsoft has never officially released the Xbox consoles in Malaysia. So, while you might have seen the consoles in separate outlets, it does not mean the console is widely or officially available in the country. As of now, Singapore remains the only ASEAN country to officially have the Xbox on its market.
We have yet to confirm other details on the rumour. So, you might want to take this news with a grain of salt. Who knows? Microsoft might do it and let us have the long-awaited console here.
