Xiaomi 12S Ultra could enter the global market after all

Last month, Xiaomi debuted its first smartphone series with the Leica camera system, Xiaomi 12S, in China. At the time, the Chinese company stated that it didn't have plans to bring the devices outside its home country. However, there might be a change of mind with this new information.

According to tipster Mukul Sharma, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra could enter the global market after all. As exciting as it sounds, there has been no global model number of the device getting spotted yet, which might make this news a false alarm. Furthermore, with the Xiaomi 13 series' launch happening by the end of the year, the 12S Ultra would have to launch at least a couple of months ahead to avoid cannibalizing sales.

To recap, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is a whole package with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, a 6.73-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display that supports a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP rear triple camera setup sporting the Leica Summicron lens system, and more.

We hope that the device will truly make it to other countries and, of course, Malaysia. What do you think about the news? Leave a comment to let us know your thoughts, and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more smartphone reports.
