Xiaomi is reportedly set to release the Xiaomi Civi 2 in the global market as the Xiaomi 13 Lite 5G soon. Interestingly, the device has a pill-shaped camera cutout on its screen that’s very similar to the Dynamic Island found on the iPhone 14 Pro series.
However, it is not known whether the 13 Lite 5G will sport software features similar to iOS which hides and utilises the camera cutout or whether it’s just, well, simply there for aesthetic purposes. As reported by Android Headlines, Xiaomi was previously reported as considering Dynamic-Island-type features for some of its smartphones, hence the Civi 2/13 Lite 5G may be the first to do so.
An unboxing video of the 13 Lite 5G has actually made its rounds on social media. The video didn’t show the smartphone while in use but only when the screen is turned on, hence we didn’t see if the camera cutout will in fact have Dynamic Island-like features.
Besides that, the alleged leak claims that the 13 Lite 5G features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, a 6.55-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, a 50MP main + 20MP wide-angle + 2MP macro rear triple-camera setup, a 32MP main + 32MP wide-angle front dual-camera setup and a 4500mAh battery with 67W charging.
Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. What do you guys think?
