Previously, we reported that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may be released globally on 8 June. Well, we’re a bit off on that one as the company CEO Lei Jun just announced that the smartphone will be launched for the global market on 12 June.

Taking to Twitter, Lei Jun revealed that global sales for the device would kick off this month, with the Western Europe launch on 12 June. He also added that more markets will be joining in soon.

Similar to past Xiaomi phones, the device will also be launched in Malaysia, though the exact date is not yet revealed by Xiaomi Malaysia. From previous releases, it is likely that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will also be launched in our country on the same date as the global release.

The smartphone is readily available in China so we don’t have to speculate on its specs. As a reminder, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is Xiaomi's top flagship model for 2023. It's a camera-focused device with a large 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor as the primary camera.

And if that's not enough for you, it has another three 50MP Sony IMX858 sensors and a 32MP front camera. Besides the cameras, the phone has Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1TB of storage, and more.
