The Xiaomi 13T series has been in the rumour mills for a while and has passed several countries’ certification bodies. Now, the latest rumour on the series points towards an earlier release date than first expected: 1 September 2023.

According to the good folks at 4gnews, Xiaomi is aiming for that date so that the 13T series is released ahead of Apple’s iPhone 15 series. As per convention by the Cupertino company, the new iPhone series is always released around mid-September.

The report added that Xiaomi will first release the Redmi K60 Ultra in China this month and then rebrand it to the Xiaomi 13T Pro for the global market next month. The K60 Ultra will remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

Based on previous rumours, the 13T Pro/K60 Ultra will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, a 6.67-inch 144Hz OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W charging. Of course, these are all still speculation, so we just have to wait until the official announcement to know for sure.
