As announced, the Xiaomi 13T Series will be launching on 26 September 2023. While we wait, Xiaomi Communications Director Daniel Desjarlais just made some good news about what we can expect.
In his official X post (formerly Twitter), Mr Desjarlais was proud to let the Mi fans know that both the Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro will have long-term software support. The 13T Series will include four generations of Android OS upgrades (up to Android 17) as well as five years of security patches. For an Android phone, that's pretty good as the current standard is about three years of OS upgrades.

In terms of tech specs, the Xiaomi 13T series could also feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset with up to 16GB of RAM. Rumours have it that the 13T Pro could be a Redmi K60 Ultra in disguise as a global variant, although that remains to be seen. If true, then it may have the same 6.67-inch AMOLED 144Hz display and a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
The Xiaomi13T Series livestream will be at 2PM (GMT +2) in Berlin, Germany. So for Malaysian viewers, you can still catch it live at 8PM on the same day on YouTube. Stay tuned for the official news coverage until then.
