Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro leak - Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, 120W wired charging and more arriving this October 2024

Xiaomi is expected to announce the flagship smartphones Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro in October this year. These two devices are expected to be the first phones in the world to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. A recent leak on Weibo via GizmoChina has revealed the detailed specifications of both models ahead of the official launch.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi 15 will have a 6.36-inch flat OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, while the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be equipped with a 6.73-inch OLED screen with micro-curves on all four sides and 2K resolution support. Both screens will offer a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of up to 1400 nits in high brightness mode (HBM).

In addition, the smartphone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will come with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The standard model will have a 4,800mAh or 4,900mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. On the other hand, the Pro variant will be equipped with a 5,400mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

Moreover, both models will feature a 32MP selfie camera with the standard model having two 50MP sensors for the main and ultra-wide cameras and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The Pro model will have a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Both devices will offer an IP68 rating, 5.5G connectivity, dual speakers and an IR blaster.

We have yet to confirm other specs or the Malaysia release date for the devices. So, we should wait for more confirmation from Xiaomi.
