A few hours ago, Xiaomi Malaysia officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 17T Series will launch in Malaysia on 28 May 2026. While the company has yet to fully reveal the devices, multiple leaks and certification listings have already painted a clearer picture of what consumers can expect.

The Xiaomi 17T Rumours So Far

Based on recent leaks, the standard Xiaomi 17T is expected to arrive with a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The device is also rumoured to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Battery life may also become one of the phone’s biggest selling points. Reports suggest the Xiaomi 17T could pack a 6500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

On the camera side, leaked specifications point towards a triple camera setup featuring a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. Leica branding is also expected to return as part of Xiaomi’s ongoing imaging partnership.

As for the Xiaomi 17T Pro Rumours

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to take things a step further with a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display and a faster 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is rumoured to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset. Leaks also suggest the Pro model may feature a massive 7000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Similar to the standard model, the Pro variant is also tipped to include Leica-enhanced cameras and high-end photography features.

Stay Tuned for the Official Launch

If the current leaks prove accurate, the Xiaomi 17T Series could become one of the company’s most aggressive flagship killer offerings yet. Particularly with its combination of large batteries, high refresh rate displays, Leica camera tuning, and MediaTek’s latest premium chipsets.
