It was only a few months ago that the Xiaomi Buds 5 was released in Malaysia. Today, the new Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro and its WiFi version have arrived here for RM799 and RM899, respectively. Here's what you should know about the new pro wireless earbuds.
Equipped with Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite and Qualcomm aptX Lossless technology, it delivers 48kHz/24bit sound at a high transmission bandwidth of up to 2.1Mbps. Users can also master-tune the Harman Golden Ear Team for their listening experience with two EQ profiles to further enhance the dual-amplifier coaxial triple-driver system.
Including the case battery, users can get up to 40 hours of battery life and 4.5 hours of playback with just 10 minutes of fast charging. But that's not all, the Buds 5 Pro has built-in audio recording that lets users capture conversations by pressing the case button three times. It also supports AI-powered translation and transcription. Hybrid ANC is present with up to 55dB, and the Buds 5 Pro can adapt to different environments.

As for the Buds 5 Pro WiFi variant, this is Xiaomi's first earbuds to support direct Wi-Fi connectivity with smartphones, offering a lossless audio experience. Powered by Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite and Qualcomm XPAN technology, it supports 96kHz/24bit lossless transmission at a bandwidth of up to 4.2Mbps. Other than that, everything else is the same.
As mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro and Buds 5 Pro (WiFi) cost RM799 and RM899, respectively. But for a limited time, there is a RM100 discount promotion right now alongside a free 3-month Spotify Premium membership.
