Xiaomi Civi release: Sd 778G chipset & up to 12GB of RAM, starting price from ~RM1684
For a few days, Xiaomi has been promoting a new smartphones series called Xiaomi Civi. This new brand is said to be replacing the previous Xiaomi CC series and today is the day. Designed for lifestyle consumers, Xiaomi said the Civi series is a new challenger for the vivo S and OPPO Reno series.
So what does the Xiaomi Civi possess? Well, it features quite a good set of tech specs - a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The OLED display measures 6.55-inches and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certified. A pair of Dolby Atmos stereo speakers are also found on the phone.
As a camera-centric lifestyle phone, the front camera is a 32MP sensor whereas the triple rear camera consists of a 64MP (main) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 5MP (telephoto) sensor. Xiaomi said that the front camera is integrated with HD quality enhancement, dual lighting support and a few filters like a more natural beauty mode made possible by the software.
Last but not least, the battery pack is 4500mAh and supports 55W fast charging technology. There are three variants based on the memory which are:
- Xiaomi Civi (8GB+128GB) - 2599 Yuan (~RM1684)
- Xiaomi Civi (8GB+256GB) - 2899 Yuan (~RM1879)
- Xiaomi Civi (12GB+256GB) - 3199 Yuan (~RM2073)
