Xiaomi MIUI 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat teased online

Head’s up Xiaomi smartphone users. MIUI 9 is real, and it has been teased online. The new OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat is set to be available for Xiaomi devices either sometime the end of this year, or perhaps in 2017.

There is a list of phones that is said to support MIUI 9, which includes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 & Note 4, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3 / 3S and the Redmi Pro for the Redmi family, and the Mi 4s / 4c / 4i, Mi 5, Mi Max, Mi Note Pro, and the Mi Pad 2 for the Mi family. Of course, the recently announced Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus will also get this update to the latest version of Android.

Right now there are no confirmed release date for the update, but the report indicates it could be sometime between December this year and January next year – subject to change.
