Xiaomi India has posted a teaser to reveal that they will be launching a new smartphone with a 108MP camera on 5 January 2021. Although the name of the upcoming device has not been confirmed yet, the camera layout that appeared in the teaser might have already given us some hints. It is suggested that the camera layout belongs to the rumoured Xiaomi Mi 10i.
The Xiaomi Mi 10i is expected to be a rebranded Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G that was launched in China earlier in November. As India has already gotten the Redmi 9 Power as a rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G, it's time for other devices from the series to arrive in the country as well. It is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Mi 10i is different from the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite that was also launched as a rebranded Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in Europe, as the latter comes with only a 64MP main camera.
Other than that, previous leaks suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 10i will have two variants including 6/128GB and 8/128GB. We can also expect three colour options which are Black, Blue, and Orange-Green gradient. For now, let's wait until 5 January for the launch as it will also be the first smartphone launch for Xiaomi India in 2021!
