Xiaomi Mi 6 revealed dual 12MP + 12MP camera lens, 6GB RAM, splash-resistant and more in China

Today, turns out that there was no Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, as only the Mi 6 was revealed in mainland China. The Mi 6 will be the company’s first device to use the latest Snapdragon 835 processor. It will be available on 28 April 2017 on Mi.com and every Mi Home stores in China. As for other countries’ release, Xiaomi announced that the Mi 6 will make its way to selected market at a later date. Below is the official specifications:

Crafted beautifully by integrating four-sided 3D curved on a stainless steel frame, the Mi 6 comes in Black, White, Blue, and two special edition colours - Ceramic and Silver. Also now equipped with Snapdragon 835, this allows them to consume 25% less power thanks to the 10nm size of the chip, which in turn contributes longer battery life.

The highlight is of course, the dual camera module setup which consist of a wide-angle and telephoto lens similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. With the dual camera lens at its disposal, it can calculate what is in the background and foreground, creating portraits with the depth of field effect. Besides that, the Mi 6 also features a 2x optical zoom,10x digital zoom, and a 4-axis OIS for image and video stabilization.

It’s also worth nothing that the 2x2 802.11ac MU-MIMO Wi-Fi greatly enhances Mi 6's wireless performance, enabling better reception indoors, with fewer blind spots.

The 6GB + 64GB version is priced at 2499 Yuan (around RM1597), while the 6GB + 128GB version is priced at 2899 Yuan (around RM1852) and the Ceramic edition is priced at 2999 Yuan (around RM1916). Stay tuned for more Xiaomi news at TechNave.com.
