Now that we know Xiaomi will be skipping number 7 and going straight for Mi 8 name moniker, there are also plenty of rumours flying around about what specifications it will carry. Well, wonder no more! Someone managed to get on hold a of a leaked photo showing all the supposedly major specs so here's what it says.
According to that sheet of paper, the Mi 8 will definitely be carrying a 6.2-inch display in 2280 x 1080 resolution, Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box (most probably a MIUI 9 OS on board), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, a front 16MP (f/2.0) front camera, a dual rear 20MP (f/1.7) + 16MP (f/2.0) camera setup, a 6GB of RAM instead of 8GB, 128GB internal storage and finally, the measurement reveals that it weighs 172g and 7.8mm in thickness.
Besides that, other unofficial sources also suggest that the aspect ratio is 19:9 and it will have a 3300mAh battery package inside the body. It's not known if Xiaomi Malaysia will plan to import this flagship into our market but it does, it will usually take awhile for them.
