If you're looking for a new Android TV box, there's a new one from Xiaomi that may launch soon. The company's Mi Box series has been around for years and a new successor has been spotted online. Sources claim that it could be an updated version of the Mi Box S.
According to 9to5Google, a new Mi Box S has been certified by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). It comes with the model number MDZ-22-AG, so it's believed to be a successor to the Mi Box S (MDZ-22-AB) from 2018. Based on images from the FCC document, it even has the same design with slight changes to the remote control.

It has the same CPU, so don't expect improvements in performance
In fact, images of the device's insides show that it has the quad-core Amlogic S905-H CPU. This is the same one that was equipped on the Mi Box and Mi Box S. If you consider the above, Xiaomi could have just made some minor adjustments and added new features that have not been revealed yet, such as 5G connectivity.
Hopefully, it's not the same product with minor changes, as that would just be disappointing. But having said that, what TV box do you use at home and do you use it often? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
