Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is rumoured to feature a folding screen like the one on Mi Mix Fold

Xiaomi is quite busy this year as the company has planned to present some of the successors that we've been waiting for a long while. After announcing the Mi Mix Fold which was expected to be the Mi Mix 4, the company is now preparing to launch the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 which is the successor to a tablet that was released three years ago. The latest news has come reporting that the upcoming tablet will also feature a similar folding design as the Mi Mix Fold.

According to reputable tipster Digital Chat Station, the Mi Pad 5 will come with a folding screen and feature a Qualcomm 800 series Snapdragon chip. With this rumour, the source suggests that Xiaomi's upcoming tablet could also support features that were announced with the Mi Mix Fold such as handheld PC mode, parallel windows, dual-screen drag and drop, conference secretary, Multi-image sending, and more. Besides that, the Mi Pad 5 is expected to run a special system that is dubbed "MIUI For Pad".

Furthermore, it is suggested that the tablet is bringing a screen that is measured around 11-inch. The display is also believed to support a 2K resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate. On the rear, the tablet could be equipped with a dual-camera setup including a 20MP sensor with another one being 13MP. It could also use a side fingerprint scanner with its thickness/weight measured 8.13mm/510g.
